Welcome to Mya's Wild Land - our special space in the bush where stories, nature, and creativity come together. This blog is where we’ll share adventures from the wild, fun facts about the creatures we meet, and the heart behind everything we create.

We started the Wild Lander merch because so many people asked for it… and because we realised something important:

Like Dr Jane Goodall (one of Mya's biggest inspirations) says, each and every one of us can make a difference - we just have to choose the impact we want to make. So we decided to create something colourful, meaningful, and fun that can help protect the wild places we love.

Inspired by one of Mya’s favourite things in nature: the Rainbow 🌈

Our first creations were the Wild Lander caps - bright, bold, and full of joy. Mya loves rainbows, so we made sure you can choose your favourite colour and join in the fun.

When you wear a cap, you’re not just keeping the sun out of your eyes… you’re joining the Wild Lander community... and staying wild!

Kids’ Caps: Named After Wildflowers 🌺

Wildflowers are something Mya and her Pappa love finding together - a passion they've shared from the very beginning. 

So the kids’ caps got their names from some of their favourites:

• The Blue Commelina (also known as Blue Mouse Ears) - a little blue flower gem. This flower has sticky sap that has been used traditionally to treat eye irritations.

• The Hibiscus (yellow) - one of the very first flowers to make an impression on Mya as a toddler. Fun fact: "hibiscus" means marshmallow! 

• The Impala Lily (pink) - a striking and memorable flower, blooming in the dry season when everything around it is dull and bland. The Impala Lily brings the bush to life.

• The Fern (Green) - a magical plant that Mya loves discovering in shady forest corners. They are some of the oldest plants in the world - even older than dinosaurs!

Grown-Up Caps: Inspired by Dragonflies ♥️

The adult caps are named after dragonflies, one of the most important species in nature and proudly part of the Mya in Wild Land logo.

They’re beautiful, fast, and vital to the health of our ecosystems - the perfect symbol for the wild spirit of our brand.

You can choose from a variety of colours and names:

• The Glider (khaki) - these dragonflies fly some of the longest distances in the world, with some of them even crossing oceans!

  

• The Forestwatcher (olive green) - mostly found in forests, its presence means the ecosystem is healthy. 

• The Dropwing (pink) - Mya's favourite! A strikingly beautiful dragonfly... they get their name from the way their wings drop at rest.

• The Emperor (blue) - a large, stunning dragonfly, partly getting its name from its regal colours.

• The Tigertail (yellow) - getting its name from its amazing black and yellow markings, just like a tiger. 

Special Edition Trucker Caps: Inspired by Frogs 🐸

• The Reed Frog (olive green) 

• The Sand Frog (sandy brown) 

Frogs help us see how healthy nature is. The Ranger word for this is "bio-indicator." If there are lots of frogs in an area, it means that the environment is healthy - because frogs breathe through their skin.

Both kids’ and grown-up caps proudly carry our legendary motto, embroidered locally on the back:
